It tells the story of three very different families who are competing for the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion that they think will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002-present). I was surprised that the show was rated so low, but it made a lot more sense after seeing many of the reviews explaining how they didn’t get past the first episode. The show is a slow-burn mystery that may not be for everyone. I personally found it very funny and entertaining with a distinct Liz Feldman tone that I love. I really like the cast and everyone’s acting. I was initially not sold on Ray Romano due to my own prejudices (I couldn’t separate him from Everybody Loves Raymond for the life of me), but that wore off pretty quickly. The various characters have their own parallel stories, creating a tangled web of chaos that gradually, if not completely, unravels. By the last episode, I was pretty much engrossed in the story, despite finding out the big twist pretty early on. But I’m not mad about it. I want to see more of this series, and I really hope they get a second season. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here’s the full schedule of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
